Tshepang is in Grade R (kindergarten) at MCA this year. She has a big personality and the voice to go with it. She is definitely the grade R drama queen! Tshepang loves school and is picking up English quickly. She loves to sing, and her favorite song is “Zip-a-dee-do-dah.” Despite Tshepang’s bubbly personality, her life has been far from easy: Her mother abandoned her at the hospital shortly after giving birth. Fortunately Magdeliman, a very compassionate woman from the community, has taken Tshepang into her home as a foster child. Magdeliman works long hours in Pretoria to care for Tshepang and her two other foster sisters.
